Can underage children be in a bar
with their parents when alcohol is being served?
There is not any state or ABC requirement; however, local ordinances
may impose other restrictions.
What is the age limit to enter
a club?
There is no state statute that limits enter to a club based upon
age; however, some city or county ordinances exist prohibiting entry
based upon age.
Must the doors be locked after
business hours?
There is not any ABC requirement; however, local ordinances may
impose a separate requirement.
Can I have a public function on
my licensed premise?
A drinking establishment may have a public function on the licensed
premises. Class A & B Clubs may also have public functions but
they must request permission from Director. In either case, no liquor
may be served.
Can I serve liquor at a public
function?
Yes, if you are properly licensed.
Is there a state statute against
a caterer, drinking establishment or B club being next to a church?
No, but local city laws may prohibit this.

Can a person, who is on parole,
have a drink in a bar?
There is no provision within the Liquor Control Act prohibiting
parolees from drinking in a bar. The individual's parole conditions
may impose other prohibitions.
Can patrons order more than one
(1) drink for themselves?
Yes.
Do licensees have to pay tax on
a drink that he or she consumes?
Yes.
Can a private party be held in
a business after hours in which liquor is served?
A private party may be held on a licensed premise after it closes
to the public; but absolutely no alcoholic beverages may be served,
sold, possessed or consumed on the premises except during the legal
hours for operation of 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m., regardless of whether
the premises are open to the public or being used for a private
party.
Can liquor be sold at a street
dance?
Only if it is licensed by a temporary permit.
Where can a licensee purchase liquor?
Inventory may only be purchased from a retail liquor store, which
has a federal wholesale liquor license or from a licensed distributor.
The retail liquor store, which provides the liquor, must be in the
same or adjacent county as the club or drinking establishment.
